A 27 year old man allegedly abused his young siblings over a 7 year period, including holding one of their heads under water to terrorise them into not telling.
ABC News reported that the accused is a woman.
The Magistrate remarked:
“To my grand astonishment I am told she would be held in the male section of the AMC and that would clearly not be in the interests of a person who identifies as a woman.” Magistrate Campbell said.

This was given among the reasons to release the accused on bail.
